The CrashINN - Making Halifax’s music community just a little more awesome - one bed at a time!

Are you in an artist or band planning on touring through the Maritimes?
A music industry professional, in town for a conference or festival?

Located just outside the downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia core, the CrashINN is a comfortable, home-style alternative to sleeping on someone's floor or paying out the nose for a hotel room.

After 4 years of amazing experiences, billeting bands for the Halifax Pop Explosion starting in 2009, Dan & Tiff have decided to offer alternative accommodations for bands, artists and those involved in the music community, on a more regular basis.

Hotels are expensive, hostels are not always comfortable/secure and sleeping on the floor isn't really desired by anyone - so come crash with us and have the best of both worlds.

Below is a rundown of what we have available for your stay.

ALL ROOMS (including overflow room) come with bedding, pillows & towels.
Each room also comes with welcome baskets which can include anything from mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, hand sanitizer, tissue, snacks and more.

The Chalkboard Room

Two twin beds, mini fridge and closet (and Chalkboard wall!)
Room for 2 people.


The Grey Room

One double bed, mini fridge
Room for 1-2 people, depending on if you’re good to share a bed.
Great for couples or close bandmates.


The Over Flow Room

The livingroom transforms into a 3rd bedroom, Includes one futon - which folds out and sleeps 1 or 2 people comfortably.

An extra bed can be made via our spare twin mattress and the couch if necessary allowing space for another 1-2 people.



TOTAL: The CrashINN can accommodate up to 8 people, if you’re ok sharing beds with your bandmates - 5, if you’re all looking for your own bed.


We can squeeze a lot more in here if you’re ok with crashing anywhere - which just might be ideal for larger groups. 

We book with everyone on an individual basis, so just tell us what you need and we’ll see what we can do!


The CrashINN also includes:

All bedding, pillows, towels and toiletries
Coffee bar
Breakfast snacks
Parking


COST: The CrashINN is our home - not a business - so we are operating on a PWYC system.
We do suggest a per person/ per night  donation.

The donations are to help us with the costs of keeping the rooms open and maintained for more artists to stay in. It helps keep the breakfast snacks readily available and the coffee always flowing.

The CrashINN is not a business, it’s our home, our thank you to the arts communities across the globe. It’s here, for those artists who give so much of themselves to the public everyday and are usually given so much less in return. 

Cash donations can be left with us during your stay (there are donation cups in the rooms), you can send email money transfers OR you can use the handy paypal link.
Donations cannot be claimed for tax purposes.

If you can't spare the donation, no worries. We understand that sometimes that show you just played, didn’t even pay for your gas money home. We’ve got your back!


 ATTENTION: We do have a resident furball - Syd, our cat. 


He’s pretty used to people coming and going all the time, but for those with severe allergies, or those who don’t like the little bastard (he can be quite an asshole), he can be kept in his own space.
