Halifax power trio Jessie Brown has announced the release of their new single and a corresponding 9-date, 5-province tour. DEBT (We Ain't Got No Money) will be released officially with a new music video (directed by Gavin Maclean) on September 7th before the tour kicks off in Toronto on September 8th. This song is the first single to be released off their recently recorded, full-length album which was tracked, engineered and produced by Jon Epworth in Hubbards, Nova Scotia in March 2016. The single was then mixed by Andrew Wiseman before being mastered at Lacquer Channel in Toronto by Noah Mintz.
"This is our rallying cry. I wanted people to know we're all struggling. Though we all have different perspectives, we're all fighting to survive. Together." said Jessie Brown, adding "and though we can't afford to finish the full record yet, I wanted to tour this message as soon as I could."

About Jessie Brown

Luring you in with her powerful and expressive voice, Jessie Brown is a siren perched atop the rocky shores of Halifax, Nova Scotia. With her power trio's dark and moody take on Rock n’ Roll, the band has been dubbed “old music for young people” combining vocal wails reminiscent of Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant or Janis Joplin with distorted, saturated bass tones from Jason Vautour and rounded out by the thunderous rhythmic drums of Thomas Spence. Once described as Aretha Franklin singing for Queens Of The Stone Age, this Doom Soul trio will entice you to shore, crush your expectations, and keep your heart as a souvenir.

A versatile performer, Jessie has performed as a backup vocalist for artists such as Dwight Twilley, Erin Costelo, Asia & Nugruv, Charlie A'Court, Heather Green, Jon Epworth, We're Doomed, Lazarus Project and as lead vocalist with The Mellotones, Rob Crowell, Larry Bjornson, Jeff Goodspeed and Havanafax’s Jorge Chicoy, Silvio Pupo Montero, and Avi Garcia.
